SSCD 2003

The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance is the youngest of the four dance schools in the UK training dancers specifically for contemporary dance. Here we bring you three excerpts from the students excellent end of year performance held in the schools own theatre.

We have featured three short sections from 3 of the works shown during the show on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 June. First up we bring you “Something White This Way Comes” choreographed by our very own blogger Catherine Bell and performed by Zoei Lyon and Hannah Davidson all three of whom are in this years graduating class. Our sources tell us that you may be able to see the full length work at Resolution in 2004 but we shall have to wait and see about that one.

Second up is “Point of Departure” created by Peter Royston and the dancers (who constitute the entire graduating class of 2003); Bonnie Blair-Imrie, Hannah Davidson, Kathryn Keith, Catherine Bell, Yvonne Gray, Zoei Lyon and Gayle Magson.

Finally there is a short snippet of “Underneath, Outside Me” performed by the schools second year class and choreographed by Lisa Bibby. we would list all the dancers by name but there are a lot of them.
