Video - Panta Rei Danseteater 'Lullaby'
Norwegian dance company Panta Rei Danseteater, late last year, conducted a little experiment whereby three dance makers created two pieces with the same name based on the same idea, featuring three male dancers and two musicians, to see what the outcome was.

Time for the weekly roundup of news from in and around the wacky world of dance and culture. So what's occurred during the cold dark nights in the business that we call show?
Arts Professional comes away with the biggest scoop of the week for their revelation that former ACE Executive Director Andrea Stark has started a new job whilst on official, payed sabbatical from Arts Council England. Ms Stark's total pay package with ACE was a mind melting £152,000 per annum.
"This contractual arrangement means that Andrea Stark will continue to be paid her six-figure salary by ACE until the end of June 2013, at which point ACE has confirmed she also becomes eligible for a redundancy pay-out which AP estimates is worth in excess of £100k."
Ms Stark would not have received this pay out had she simply quit to start her new job. Read the full story at Arts Professional.
Many of you will of course remember our story from last year about English National Opera and their complete lack of respect for professional dancers. Well, it turns out that the administrators at ENO were dropping a few other balls along the way.
The Stage, along with many others, reported this week that the massive opera company had an end of year loss of more than £2Million.
Not to worry though. As we also reported last year the company has a multi-million pound accumulated surplus so they can cover the loss for this year at least. ACE has announced they plan a review of opera companies or maybe they'll just go and get some ice cream and blow the whole thing off.
As many will know we are not huge fans of Resolution in its current configuration. The yearly festival for new dance makers is currently under way at The Place in London.
On occasion the Guardian and other main stream newspapers print reviews of whatever show they have picked out of a hat to go and watch. Sanjoy Roy, of the Guardian, thrashed the show he went to see with a mediocre two star rating, whatever that means. So, Resolution continues to help those kicking off their career in dance making by mauling them in the national press.
Pot Kettle Black
Liz Forgan, for it is she, the outgoing Chairman(person?) of ACE made a speech this week slapping around the idiot in chief at the Department for Education Michael Gove.
First of all, everybody knows that arguing with Michael Gove or anybody else from the Coalition Government is like arguing with garden furniture. Secondly, Ms Forgan comes across as completely hypocritical when she says things like this;
"a big red signal is hoisted saying with total clarity, 'We don't care'"
Given Arts Council England's absurd behaviour over the last few years Ms Forgan might want to look inward! Except of course she's leaving the job, so what does she care?
