Video - Panta Rei Danseteater 'Lullaby'

The annual dance bun fight that is Impulstanz gets under way in July for a month of performances, workshops and research projects involving pretty much all of the contemporary and other dancers in the whole of Europe.
Taking place across several sites in Vienna, Austria; including a massive military complex that hosts the workshops where dancers do class and other activities in the biggest rooms you have ever seen, the festival is one of the largest in the world and, usually, has something for all tastes.
For this year they have secured performances from, among others;
Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company and "Another festival reprise is the legendary „The Show Must Go On“ by French choreographer Jérôme Bel. Bel also presents „Pichet Klunchun and myself“ - an impressive theatralic-choreographic dialogue between traditional Thai and contemporary European dance." So there you go!
Impulstanz also feature the 8:Tension mini festival which is a platform for new dance makers to show their stuff to a very unsuspecting world. In the past we, here in the Lab, have had some issues with the standard of the work in both the main festival and 8:Tension but there are some gems to be found, you just have to look really hard.
The festival runs from July 13th to August 13th.
