Arts Council England (ACE) has launched what it describes as a "public value enquiry" to help shape the future of how the funding organisation works and, presumably, to shape future funding policy.

Launched on November the 7th last year, the national enquiry has several principal aims, most of which are geared toward learning what the public thinks of arts funding and how that funding should be allocated.

Participation is possible either in writing, by downloading a form via the Arts Debate website, or you can comment directly through the website itself.

How the information will then be collated and used to craft future Arts Council policy is not made clear. We can only hope the result is more substantial than yet another glossy brochure full of photographs and little in the way of a substantive change in direction.

The consultation process ends on May 17th, more information can be gathered from ACE's website.
