This weekend I was back in Leeds to start a project with Jordan Massarella. It was very odd. Living in Leeds and being a student at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance was such a huge part of my life, yet since leaving I have barely thought about it.

Our rehearsals over the weekend were at NSCD, and walking back in the doors felt very very normal. Yet it was different.

Both myself and Hayley Barker, one of the other dancers in the piece, were discussing how we missed a daily class, dancing everyday. When you are in the midst of a degree it can be exhausting and you don't fully appreciate the fact you get to dance everyday (although I was well aware that I would miss it once the luxury was gone) and this weekend we both thoroughly enjoyed getting to be creative, and flexing muscles that have gone unused since graduation.

Watch this space, Mansion will be coming soon.
