2Faced Dance Company seek 2 creative male Dance Artists to join the company full time from March 2018 for 12 months. We will be touring our new children's show What The Moon Saw, RUN our critically acclaimed triple bill, creating new work with three choreographers for 2019 as well as touring the company's outdoor works MOON, KAPOW and Two Old Men.
Applicants must have strong contemporary technique with skills in floor, partner and contact work. Recent graduates and experienced dancers are welcome to apply.
Candidates should possess strong technical and performance skills and a broad experience including ballet, contemporary dance, improvisation and contact work. Experience in children's performance and working in outdoor settings is desirable and skilled versatile performers who have strong physical, acrobatic or b-boy skills are an advantage.
The company are looking for dancers who have an extraordinary performance style, are not afraid to talk on stage and are highly motivated and consistent. Strong teaching and communications skills would be desirable as well as a commitment to fully embrace in the company's participation and learning programme.
What the Moon Saw tells the tale of Jack a brave 7-year-old boy who is taken on a magical journey by the moon. One dancer must therefore have the ability to play a younger character.
12-month, full-time contract from March 2018. Please note the company is based in Hereford.
