The role will require: leading company class, rehearsal of existing repertoire, touring internationally with the company and working alongside Russell Maliphant as appropriate to assist in the development of a new production scheduled for Autumn 07.

You will liaise with dance agencies, venues as well as primary, secondary and tertiary education establishments to extend the company’s network of partners. Where necessary you will attend and assist in delivery of education workshops. You will also ensure effective administration and evaluation of the range of education activities.
The successful candidate will have at least one year’s experience of arts education work, a track record of securing bookings and contracting. You will have some practical experience of delivering education workshops.

This year the Place are offering a special chance to work with the dancers of Matthew Bourne’s world renowned company New Adventures as they teach technique and repertory from their award-winning works
Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures are offering the choice of four technique classes for elementary to advanced level students, plus the opportunity to learn sections of New Adventures’ The Car Man or Swan Lake.
Daily technique classes (levels 2-4) will be led by some of the best and most experienced members of Bourne’s world-class ensemble: Heather Habens, Isabel Mortimer, Etta Murfitt and Lee Smikle.
Workshops are from 3-5 January 2007.
