First of all let us apologise for the dreadful cliche in the headline. We're sure it makes reference to woodworm infested theatres of old but it's early and we couldn't think of anything better.
Anyway, Jasmin Vardimon Company will be kicking off their touring for this year on March 29th at the Southport Arts Centre in Merseyside. The company will be premiering their brand new piece 'Justicia' described as a "crime drama" played out on a revolving stage. A couple of months of touring follows, taking in Manchester, London and Cornwall amongst others with, no doubt, much more to come for the rest of the year.
Phoenix head out on the road, but not too far initially, on March 28th at the Quarry Theatre in Leeds. Depending on what venue you see them in they will perform a slightly different program of work by several dance makers. Henri Oguike, Henrique Rodovalho, Didy Veldman and new director Javier De Frutos are among those showing their wares.
Confusingly, three of the new works are called 'Untitled' so no points for invention in the titling stakes. Phoenix will venture forth from Leeds taking in London, York and Stirling as they wind their way around the country.
