Jumble Sale, Ballet Style
The Latest News || Thursday, 17 May, 2007
Scottish Ballet has decided that instead of trying to sell their dancers they will instead sell lot's of old costumes from past productions.
The national ballet company of Scotland became embroiled in a minor controversy a few months back when they auctioned off dinner daters with their dancers to raise money. Having not raised very much money at all someone at SB has made the sound decision that selling memorabilia might be a better money raising tactic.
There are hundreds of items up for sale including full sets of costumes from the company's major productions. Dance companies and dance schools get first dibs on bulk buys with a couple of public sales running afterward on Friday June 1st and Saturday June 2nd in Glasgow.
More details on the company's website.
