South East Dance, the National Dance Agency for the South East of England, will be hosting what they describe as a Screen Dance Artists’ Forum on March 22nd to give you a chance to chat with some dance film makers and peruse their work.

The press release tells us this;

"South East Dance is delighted to announce that their ongoing Screen Dance Artists’ Forum, is taking place on Thursday 22 March. This is the third of these nights, but the first with its new title and location. Professor Liz Aggiss will continue to chair the event in her own inimitable style with Becky Edmunds, Alex Reuben and Silke Mansholt contributing to the nights discussions.

During the Summer of 2005 as part of the Capture 2005 commissioning scheme, Alex Reuben travelled across Americas deep South in search of fulfilling a lifelong dream to document the social dance of the region, the outcome is documented in his film ‘Routes’. He will discuss and show excerpts from ‘Routes’ followed by a question and answer session with the audience."

The event takes place at the Digital Lounge, 28 Kensington Street in Brighton and entry is absolutely free although places are limited so if you're interested you need to contact Charlotte Miles at South East Dance (charlotte.miles [at] southeastdance.org.uk).
