The Critics' Circle National Dance Awards were announced in the middle of the afternoon a few days ago, or it could have been weeks we're not really sure, and while we're on the subject the Critics Circle is nowhere near as much fun as the Magic Circle, or a crop circle for that matter.
So, in no particular order the winners were:
Nobody Cares!!
When we got the press release in our mitts the Evil Imp had to be physically restrained, several windows were broken and there was a minor riot in the upstairs cupboard, nobody was arrested and all is calm again. For now!
The Imp lost it when he read the hosts were those guys from the Ballet Boyz, seriously "Boyz", make up a new name or the big kids are gonna keep picking on you!
The CCNDA (you know that almost spells dance! spooky huh? Ed!) will be back next year and they promise to be just as annoying, irrelevant and predictable!
