BDE08 Open For Applications

The Latest News || Wednesday, 7 February, 2007

British Dance Edition, the bi-annual dance festival aimed at promoters, is now accepting applications from dance companies who may wish to take part and show their wares to an international group of promoters.

Although not due to take place until January 30th next year you need to get applications in now to be considered.

The festival is not just for the big companies and individual artists are being encouraged to apply but do bear in mind that a festival like this one is not for the faint hearted so get you best dance making head on if you want to be considered.

For the first time ever you can apply to take part online and the event organisers (Merseyside Dance Initiative) will endeavour to come and see your work live if at all possible. If a live performance is not possible then a DVD or online video will suffice (all hail the death of the VHS tape).

The application deadline is the 20th of April so get a move on.

British Dance Edition starts on January 30th 2008 and runs until February 3rd.
