Here in TheLab™ we are well aware that our audition page is very popular and is a really good way to promote jobs for professional dancers.

What we want to do now is the same for other professional opportunities, specifically professional classes, workshops, festivals and one-off performances or premieres.

The Shout board has been a part of Article19 for a long time but always felt like a separate thing. You could post information yourself about pretty much anything as long is wasn't an audition. Even though it was used fairly regularly the stats show it was a pretty overlooked part of Article19.

To change that we've brought the Shout Board into the Article19 fold, so to speak, and made it more like the audition pages. To get stuff posted you have to send it through to us first and then we'll edit the writing, if necessary, and then put it online.

We feel this is necessary because some of the Shout postings were very wordy, almost like essays and when you are trying to push something brevity is the golden rule.

So, if you have information about or are running a professional class, workshop or festival then let us know at the usual address. For performances we are not looking for your complete tour schedule but for premieres, on-off shows or a first time showing of a new work by a new or relatively unknown company.

Remember to be brief and to the point and include all the relevant information about who, where, what and when. Here in TheLab™ we like simplicity, simplicity is easy and simplicity is useful.
