Out in the wild for their second tour is the post graduate company with a difference created by Jasmin Vardimon, JV2. This time out the company is showing works by Ms Vardimon 'Tomorrow', Paul Blackman and Christine Gouzelis 'Vohlfs' and 'Purgatory: Nothing 2 Say' by David Lloyd.
JV2 was created to broaden the base skills of graduate dancers before they step into the wide world of dance theatre. So, the company members learn a whole host of theatrical skills during their training and touring.
The company say this much about JV2;
"Former JVC dancers Paul Blackman and Christine Gouzelis create beautifully intricate work with an alluring visual style. Current JVC dancer David Lloyd's new piece delivers daring and highly physical choreography. Associate Artist of Sadler's Wells, Jasmin Vardimon revives her work Tomorrow, weaving together scenes from her celebrated repertoire, transforming favourite moments from Park, Justitia, 7734 and Yesterday into a new experience."
As well as footage from the show we bring you interviews with the course leader and former Jasmin Vardimon Company dancer Tim Casson and two of the JV2 dancers; Ema Jankovic and Francesca Dillion-Reams.
The tour ends tomorrow at The Place in London with two shows on the 8th and 9th of April, no more touring after that so catch the company live of you can.
JV2 is performed by Ema Jankovic, Sabrina Gargano, Roisin Laffan, Melanie Muller, Valentine Yannopoulos, Eirini Apostolatou, Beate Auzina, Vivian Boutati, Emily Cobie, Francesca Dillon-Reams and Jodie Fry.
Filmed at Deda in Derby on March 29th, 2014.
