That voice

Not the one inside your head.

That one in the movies that makes everything sound better and cooler than it is.

How can one voice make horrors sound scarier, comedies sound funnier, documentaries sound more intellectual?!!

So why is it always the same voice? I think we'd actually be disappointing if it was a different voice, its worked its way into the fabric of cinema.

We turn up, pay too much for a ticket, pay too much for popcorn that tastes horrible half way through the box, then pay too much for a jumbo drink that makes us want to pee half way through the movie.

Then we sit through 20 minutes of advertisements...while being serenaded by this wonderful voice that eases us into tonight's feature.

It's part of the cinema, as much as sticky floors, kissing in the back row or that decision to stay for the credits or not at the end.

Great, if you ever wanted a voice in your head, we'd definitely use his.
