
Bryony Mylroie Smith: Productivity and Positivity

Last week we had Ani Tchakdjian in as our guest lecturer. Normally we (as first years) only have a guest twice in a week once for ballet and once for contemporary, this week we had her four times, it was really good. Ani's ballet classes never really feel like ballet. When i think of ballet i think of all the positions being very exact, but in these classes we're allowed to flow through the movement, its great. We also figured out why i may have been holding tension in my shoulders, in that sense it was a productive week!
It was the first time in three weeks that i attended a body conditioning class, i wasnt looking forward to it on thursday night, but friday morning i woke up and felt so motivated! It was really hard, Nicola, the teacher has up-ed the intensity so that after doing the first set of conditioning drills several times we move into a set of star jumps and running patterns, it's really hard, but you feel great afterwards.
Infact, now that i think about it, last week was generally a really positive week, bring on this week!
