In the first year there are two groups, red and blue. Pete took on extra students compared to the normal 20 in first year because he said he saw a lot of potential in the people attending auditions. I'm in the red group, in our group (and also in the blue group) we've been working on our christmas showing pieces with Laura. So far we have created one piece completely out of our own composition, all the movement is our own laura has just pieced it together...>blush< 'we're ded proud'!
The second piece we're doing just as the red group is to a really fast piece of music. We started this on Thursday with each person making up for lots of 8 in the style of travelling, laura then split us into three groups and got us to put our pieces together to travel across the room. The three groups travelling across the room only takes about 30 seconds-we've got another six minutes of movement to put in.
It's exciting stuff! On Friday we learnt Steven's composition and that is REALLY fast, i think thats gonna be put in the piece too!
Steven and Janice have a duet coming up, and we're yet to work on a piece alongside the blue group, or see what they are doing, but it's gonna be great!
The showing is on the 15th of december at the space, dundee college, kingsway campus, it's free for anyone who's interested and it'll be really good! I'll get back to you on what time it'll be at!
