GlassHouse is a new dance-based organisation for collaboration, exploration and play led by dance artists Laura McGill and Sarah Lewis. Working with professional artists and communities, GlassHouse propose to engage a diverse spectrum of people to experience dance in outdoor and non-traditional settings.

We are looking for physical performers to undertake a period of research and development to create a new outdoor dance-theatre piece involving performers between the ages of 20 to 50 plus, with 2 confirmed public performances at this stage on the 6th and 21st July in Norfolk.

We are looking for up to 6 physical performers for this project:

1 male and 1 female performer in their 20's
1 male and 1 female performer in their 30's - 40's
1 male and 1 female performer over the age of 50

We are especially interested in working with performers who are playful, enjoy improvising, and willing to be part of the creative process. We would also be interested in hearing from performers who play a musical instrument.

We would be particularly interested to hear from pairs of dancers who have already worked together and are of a similar playing age.

The performers will be contracted for 4 days R&D between the 19th June and 5th July in Ipswich and/ or Great Yarmouth plus the 2 performance days with a view to tour in 2014 (which will be contracted separately).

This project is currently subject to funding, but we are now accepting expressions of interest. It will be a paid opportunity with accommodation and travel expenses covered.

Project dates
Performers must be available for the following:
4 days of R&D between19th June and 4th July.
All dancers are required on the 5th July
Daytime performances on the 6th July in Norwich and 21st July in Holt, Norfolk (accommodation will be provided the night before the performance). There will be 2 performances on each day.

The auditions are taking place on the 31st May and 1st June in London.

Sweetshop Revolution (UK)

Sweetshop Revolution. ( UK ) Fee £1000 / 2 weeks / dates flexible / maybe July/Aug. Sally Marie is seeking two contemporary dancers for a research period, for a duet commissioned by the National Theatre of Wales. It's about a Welsh Composer called Morfydd Owen and her partner, one of Freud's closest associates. I am looking for one woman and one man.

Needed: Great contact work/ musicality/ emotional range/ devising ability - yep, you're making the steps! ;)

Also looking for further dancers for future projects awaiting funding, including a tour of a previously performed group work, Tree. (Touring spring 2014.)

Tom Jackson Greaves (UK)

Tom Jackson Greaves in association with Theatre Bench, Craig Adams and Clare Prenton seeks a male dancer to take part in a three-day workshop for original dance theatre piece tailored for a young audience. The workshop will occur on the 4th, 5th and 6th of June with possible second week in August.

This is a paid position.

Male dancer should be professionally trained with strong contemporary technique, partnering skills, interest in creation but above all personality. Preferably looking for tall, long limbed and charismatic performer with a minimum height of 5,8" who wont shy away from characterful performance.

Jasmin Vardimon (UK) Professional Development Certificate

This postgraduate certificate is a Continuing Professional Development course for postgraduate experienced dancers and actors moving into a new area of work namely dance theatre, introducing new techniques that combine vocal, kinaesthetic and visual skills and responses.

The focus of the course will be to understand and explore Vardimon's method and approach of creating physical theatre work and will be taught by Jasmin Vardimon and the collaborators of the Jasmin Vardimon Company.

12◦North creates dynamic and diverse dance performance, which tours the region, and offers training in Teaching and Learning as well as develop Business and Entrepreneurial skills to support a career in dance.

2Faced Dance Company is seeking 3 male dancers for their next season - contract commences 1 July 2013 and runs for 4 months. Applicants must have strong contemporary technique with skills in floor work and partner work.

Skilled versatile performers who have strong b-boying foundations and strong acrobatic skill is an advantage. This role is not suitable for those who have a fear of heights.

The company are looking for dancers who have an extraordinary natural performance style and have high motivation, strong teaching and communications skills, and a commitment to fully participate in the company's participation and learning programme.

Projects include: The learning of the company's work "Out of His Skin" for performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August and performances in the autumn in Bulgaria, Norway and the UK. The learning of Fitzgerald's 2011 work '7.0' for both international and national performances.

To be considered you must be experienced in task work with a professional choreographer and possess strong improvisation skills, display high levels of stamina and flexibility, and have an understanding of Sydney Dance Company's creative outputs.

Richard Alston Dance Company is looking for one female dancer for their next season - contract commences: 29 July 2013. Applicants must have strong contemporary and classical technique and at least 3 years experience in a professional dance company.

Next season includes 3 new creations, approximately 38 performances, including a London season at the Barbican and 5 international dates (US, Germany and Holland).
RADC is a ten-strong company, a chamber ensemble with the dancer taking on the responsibility of a soloist.

The work is lyrical, articulate and often speedy, with a strong emphasis on musicality. Company contracts usually cover 42 weeks in the year, August - June.

We're also interested in male singers with a background in dance training.

All candidates must be fluent in English and interested in learning and delivering text on stage.
