DV8's new verbatim work will explore male sexuality. While casting is now complete, we're looking for two male understudies. Candidates should be versatile performers with strong contemporary dance technique, fluent in English, confident in delivering text, good under pressure and quick at learning material.
Due to the wide range of roles that the understudies will cover, men of all ages and ethnicities are encouraged to attend.
Rehearsals commence January/February 2014 and the contract runs until December 2015. Tour dates include Sweden, Norway, Austria, Germany, France, Hungary, Spain, Australia, USA and Canada.

Skånes Dansteater is looking for male and female dancers for the autumn 2014/spring 2015 season. We are looking for experienced professional dancers with strong contemporary dance technique, good classical training, solid musicality and strong personal integrity and stage presence.
Skånes Dansteater is a contemporary repertory company based in Malmö, Sweden. The company produces both large stage productions and smaller works. The company employs approximately 35 persons including 14-16 dancers depending on the size of the productions. Since 2005 we have a stage and production space in the Western Harbour of Malmö (Västra Hamnen). We also tour regionally, nationally and abroad.
For the season 2014/2015 we are searching for dancers for yearly or production based contracts.
Auditions will be held on Saturday and Sunday January 25th - 26th at Skånes Dansteater in Malmö, address: Östra Varvsgatan 13 A.
Day 1 will include a ballet class and varied repertoire.
Day 2 will be exclusive for a selected number of dancers.

Gravity & Levity are looking for several male dancers for their new production, 'Rites of War' directed and choreographed by Darshan Singh Bhuiler. All dancers must have at least 3 years of experience and strong technique.
Aerial skills and/or previous gymnastic experience are desirable but not essential, however a willingness to work off the ground (up to 6ms) is required. The production will commence Mar 3rd - end June 2014 and then from late Sept - end Nov 2014.
You must be available for the whole period and this is a paid contract.

Audition for male and female dancers on Saturday 30th November at 2.30pm. Alexander Whitley, Affiliate choreographer of the Royal Ballet and New Wave Associate of Sadler's Wells, is looking for experienced and technically strong dancers to join his company for projects throughout 2014.
The company will be developing two new works commissioned by the Royal Opera House and Sadler's Wells respectively with performances at the Linbury theatre in May and Sadler's Wells in October. The pieces will also tour throughout the UK in the autumn.
Dancers should be highly trained in both ballet and contemporary techniques with previous professional experience.

Finnish choreographer Cecilia Moisio is looking for two performers (1 male, 1 female) for her new evening length piece L.O.V.E. premiering on the 9th of October 2014 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Working periods: January- March and July- October 2014 in Amsterdam. The performers should have excellent moving skills, be able to work with text and singing.
You should be a strong, independent and experienced performer with an ability to express different emotions and even humour.
Good spoken English is a must. Cecilia's works give a comment on our social and behavioral patterns, combining different theatre forms simultaneously to make a layered performance. She wants to discus problems of our times through themes of prejudice, wanting to be accepted, the need to be loved and loneliness.

In L.O.V.E. she will comment our need for love and happiness and if we can find 'true' happiness through behavior dictated by the media and society. What does real happiness look like? Can the clichés of love and happiness really lead to feeling these emotions? In L.O.V.E. the 'love song' will take a central place and you are asked to give a sample of your singing skills at the audition.

London-based choreographer Maire Dee is looking for three exceptional dancers (two male and one female) for the production of "la boîte a joujoux" premiering In Nancy (May 2014). We are looking for an experienced male dancer - tallish with great contact skills and a certain intensity of feeling - for a research period of two weeks, paid. It is a duet with Carys Stanton, about the relationship between welsh composer Morfydd Owen and her husband.
From 2nd Dec- 14th Dec. We'll be working alongside a writer, a pianist and an opera singer. Rehearsals are in London.

Room 2 Manoeuvre is seeking 2 male dancers with strong break dance technique to take part in a 3 week Re-development period of "Box Fresh", a work created by the company in 2009.
Applicants must demonstrate a high technical ability of Breakdance vocabulary such as top rocks, foot work, freezes and power moves (you should at least be able to do a continuous windmill). Formally trained dancers with such skills are encouraged to apply. Those applicants without formal training must demonstrate a track record of working professionally in theatre.
As well as this technical ability, it would be advantageous that any applicants have experience of contact and partnering work, using theatrical expression and working creatively by themselves and in a group. The company will explore these areas as part of the work so any applicant should show a willingness to learn if lacking in experience.

Altered Skin are urgently seeking a highly skilled female dancer/actor for the National Tour of their debut production 'Power Games' and to be involved in the research and development of their next work. The company creates highly physical/visual theatre work and is inspired by the South Asian Dance form of Bharatanatyam.
The dancer/actor must be an extremely quick-learner and be adaptable to new modes of thinking and performing. They should be skilled and comfortable with spoken text, audience interaction, improvising and have strong contemporary dance technique and strong acting capabilities. They should also be committed and willing to the continuous development of this role.

Corey Baker Dance CBD is seeking 4 contemporary dancers to work alongside Corey Baker and collaborators (Wayward Plants and Yann Seabra) to take part in a 2-week Research & Development period, which will explore all creative and logistic aspects necessary for the full performance creation.
Criteria: Performers must have a background of professional dance training, a strong performance presence, good creative skills and robust physical strength and stamina. Dancers must have an interest in the theme of the work and want to learn Kapa Haka, the indigenous Maori art form. We are also keen to hear from and work with Maori artists from different creative backgrounds.
The ultimate work will be outdoors and the R&D period will involve training on Rugby Fields. Performers must be willing to and be comfortable with handling the demands of outdoor work.
Please note, although we are working with 4 dancers for the R&D, we will be using 15 dancers for the later creation and will keep the details of anyone of interest on file for later employment opportunities.
