February 2003 Archives
I've spent the last week sitting out of classes watching everyone else dance around on their TWO working legs! Due to lack of funds (being a poor student and all!) I had to visit the doctor and get referred by her to a physio. This is probably going to take 26 years thanks to the good old NHS! Speaking of which, because I was a new patient, I had to get a general health check. That's a piece of cake I hear you say. Not if you have to pee in a cup then walk through the waiting room with it. To say mortified, wouldn't really sum it up for me.
Back to the matter at hand.
School's tour rehearsals have begun full blast, but because of an extreme case of illness, stuff was scrapped because there were too many people off. The theme's changed again! It's now about being a dance student! Aches and pains, hefty overdrafts, you get the picture. I've got a great part. Don't think so! I'm narrator because I can't dance. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! Are you getting my frustration? I'm sure it's going to be fine though.
(Breathe!)
I'm not exactly having the time of my life at the moment. I'm really missing the sweaty t-shirt after class, the trying so hard and gasping for air then being told 'That was...OK!’ All the stuff that makes you want to be a dance student. Cue the violins. Enough of this self-pity I hear you cry. On that note, I'm going to leave you with my final thought.
Take care of your knees and each others!
